Before You Begin

⚠️ Uninstall any previous version of DaVinci Deluxe before installing an update.

Installing over an existing version can cause conflicts and errors.

✅ For best results, install on a clean Windows system with the latest updates applied.

Installation Steps

1

Download the installer

After checkout, you'll receive a secure download link and license key by email. Save the installer archive to your local disk.

2

Temporarily disable antivirus / Windows Defender

Diagnostic and calibration tools are sometimes flagged incorrectly by antivirus heuristics. Disable real-time protection before extracting and running the installer, then re-enable it afterward.

3

Run the installer

Extract the archive and launch DaVinci Deluxe Setup.exe, then follow the on-screen instructions to choose an install location and complete setup.

Installation typically takes only a few minutes.

4

Activate your license

Launch DaVinci Deluxe and enter the license key from your confirmation email under Settings → License. Your lifetime license is tied to this activation and includes 12 months of free updates.

5

Load your first ECU file

Read the ECU using your preferred compatible interface, then import the resulting file into DaVinci Deluxe. The software auto-detects the ID, checksum, and metadata.

Load ECU Data → Select Strategy (DTC / DPF / EGR / SCR) → Guided Changes → Export & Verify

Use the Guided Strategy Editor's pre-flight checks and preview before applying any change, then export validation tables in ASAP2/A2L format.

Troubleshooting & Support

Most installation issues come down to antivirus interference or an incompatible ECU interface driver — check both first.

1

Installer flagged or blocked

Confirm antivirus/Windows Defender real-time protection is disabled, then re-run the installer as Administrator.

2

ECU file won't load

Verify your interface's drivers are up to date and that the ECU family is listed in DaVinci Deluxe's supported coverage.
